With reference to Colonial Office letter
60 No. 53838/10/37 of the 9th November and to previous

correspondence on the subject of the alleged sinking of
Chinese junks by Japanese naval forces, I am directed by
Mr. Secretary Eden to transmit to you herewith a copy of
a telegram which he has received from His Majesty's
Ambassador at Tokyo together with a copy of the reply
which has been returned to Sir Robert Craigie.
2. Mr. Eden would be grateful if the Secretary of State
for the Colonies might be moved to instruct the Government
of Hong Kong to forward to Sir Robert Craigie, if he has
not already done so, a copy of the report presented by
the Commission of Enquiry.
